![]() Our 2012 filly, Sachi, out of Safyre went Premium and was Site Champion and out mare, Khepri, was approved ISR/OLD and received a Premium score! The last 2 years together have been super successful for our former brown silver stallion, Champs Guthrie. He now has 3 approved daughters with ISR/Oldenburg N.A. - Safyre (Approved in 2011 with a 102), Khepri (105) and Silver Moon Farm's mare, Montana (102) and of course his grandbaby Sachi went Premium! The two mares approved this year, Khepri & Montana, were both bred by my niece, Dominique Dupon. Talia Chaffee of Silver Spring Farm had 2 foals this year by Andretti MVF (a Champs Guthrie's son and a colt we bred). One was brown silver tobiano colt, Cielo d'Argento and the other a palomino filly named, Angel's Last Star. Cielo is the 5th confirmed silver APHA in the world. In June we watched geldings we bred, GridIron & Leonti, show. GridIron, at 4 years old, was the horse used for a beginner at her 1st show! To watch the the horse your bred be so successful and such great partners is so gratifying for a breeder! Its what keeps us going and I am so grateful for the updates from all the foal owners over the years. It means a lot to me! And in December, Sachi was sold to a wonderful home where she has an exciting future ahead of her in dressage and eventing! I am super happy with her home and that she is close by so I can visit and watch her show when she is old enough. CONGRATULATIONS everyone!!! You have all been wonderful friends, supporters and fans! So what's NEW for 2013 ... well you will have to just keep watch because we are just going to go with the flow and see what happens! What I do know is that Khepri is staying and that I am going to get my butt back in the saddle. I sold my dressage saddle and bought a Close Contact so I can get back to what I LOVE ... Jumping! Look out Safyre & Khepri here I come :D RoseMari, a chestnut + silver filly we bred, was bred by her owner to her grullo AQHA stallion for a 2013 foal. We're sending wishes and hopes for a healthy silver grullo foal for her owner, Bea! This is the only Champs Guthrie grandbaby due for 2013. Also I will be doing an overhaul to the Silver Equine website in early January. So if you are interested in silver please check the Silver Equine website often for updates, there will be A LOT more photos and information. The members of the Silver Equine group are being so helpful with information & photos! There's been a lot of wonderful happenings in 2012! I am excited to see what in store for 2013!!!! How about you?
