Our homebred colt/stallion, Andretti MVF, owned by Talia Chaffee of Silver Spring Farm welcomes Andretti's 2nd foal. A silver tobiano colt was born April, 29, 2012! Talia thinks he is a black silver but his color is so odd she isn't sure. Hair has been sent in for testing. This colt is the 5th confirmed APHA silver dapple in the World! Varzea, Andretti's, a silver minimals overo was born last year on Talia's farm was the 4th confirmed silver APHA. We are so proud of the quality and contribution to silver that Talia & Andretti have made.

Her milk is yellow, more cloudy and sticky! The calcium is just beginning to register with Chemetrics test.
I backed Khepri today! We walked and trotted without incident. She was very good and responded well to leg pressure. Can't wait to really get her going this summer! She has been coming along beautifully. We have been long-lining, working on giving to the bit, sensitizing and desentizing. She does it all like an old pro. She is ready to get to work! One of the geldings we bred by Champs Guthrie o/o Artie's Angel, GridIron MVF, and his owner Tami Platt had a great 1st year under saddle. With attending only a few dressage shows in 2011 at 3 years old, this wonderful pair earned scores in the mid-60's and earned this lovely plaque! We're very proud! Khepri is a 2008 bay silver dapple ApHC mare and 1/2 sister to Safyre. She is a wonderful blend of Quarter Horse, Arabian, & Applooosa although she didn't get her spots. At this time she is the only known and confirmed silver registered appaloosa. ApHC does not yet recognize the color so she is listed as a bay but she was U.C. Davis tested - Ee AA nZ. We are looking forward to getting Khepri going under saddle and hopefully attending some shows this summers. We are also planning on presenting her to the ISR/Oldenburg N.A. for breeding approval. Her sister, Safyre, was presented in August 2011 and received a very nice scored of 102 pts. |
