Today we booked Safyre once again to the fantastic stallion, Sir Gregory. This year (2011) he had 18 Premium Foals between GOV & ISR/OLD N.A. !!! I am still waiting to hear from RPSI. For me he is nearly the most perfect stallion. His gaits are true, he is light, he has cute & elegant factor, he jumps well and looks like fun, has wonderful scores, obviously produces well and ... he has a belly spot :) It's under his belly so you can't see it in the photos. I believe that he and Safyre are going to produce well together. The foals will be talented, modern, correct and good for multiple disciples. Reserve Champion in Halter at the OFEA Spooktacular Open Horse Show!!! We had a great time seeing both GridIron MVF & Leonti MVF at the show and in the Costume class, as well as, Tami's pony, Smokin' Doubledutch, along with her Mom and student. Both GridIron & Leonti are 1/2 sibling to Safyre & Khepri. All the siblings have great temperaments, a sense of humor, love challenges and to be interacted with as you can tell below :) Safyre was presented at the ISR/OLD Inspection at Devonwood Equestrian Centre today! She received 102 points just 3 points shy of a Premium score!!! Walk in hand: 8 Breed, Mare Type: 7 Correctness of Gaits: 7 Overall Impression & Development: 7 Head: 7 Hindlegs: 7 Swing & Elasticity of Gaits: 7 6.5 The rest of her scores were 6's which didn't surprise me for her age, growth stage and lack of muscular development due to my work schedule. All of which will come with time. We are absolutely thrilled!!! !!! SURPRISE !!! Awakened by a 6 am phone call early Sunday morning, we received the awesome news that our late Champs Guthrie had another foal born. His last owners has bred him to a couple of their mares just once. Their AQHA blue roan mare settled and a beautiful colt was born around 7 am CST in Florissant, Colorado. Congratulations ShaShana & Brandi! It appears he is black like his big brother, GridIron. Doesn't appear to be silver. That's 6 boys and 6 girls for Champs Guthrie. 8 are silvers and 4 are non-silver. After several checks and odd ovulations Safyre presented us with good edema and a nice follicle. We called Jennifer at Dreamscape Farm mid-afternoon with the hopes that some how we could get semen the next day. She called one of her mare owners who was getting semen and she said I could have one of her doses since her mare was really close to ovulating! Everything was a go! We got the semen late the next day but Safyre held on to her follicle and she was bred. We now we wait. |
